Today I started C25K Week Three and I got to do it with my sister-in-law. My brother tagged along too, but he runs all the time anyways. It was fun watching him try to “keep up” at our turtle pace. Haha!
We had a great time jogging together. To do it with someone
who is working toward the same goal makes the journey so much easier. Plus,
talking to someone is a good distraction from how long or difficult the run is.
However, the intervals this week really seemed easy. Maybe it was just the
company, but I might mix it up to challenge myself a little more. We’ll see. J
90 second jog
90 second walk
3 minute jog
3 minute walk
Then repeat once
It’s interesting, but I now find myself craving a run. I
think I remember that from when I ran track in high school. My body is getting
used to waking up at 7:00am for a workout…and I feel so good after
accomplishing one. I am glad that running is something my body wants, instead
of dreads!
I just realized I didn’t meet my “three days of strength
training” goal from last week though. I guess I was having too much fun with
cardio…but I did end up doing those 50 crunches for five days! I’ll up it to
75, starting tomorrow. And I do need to work in strength training to keep my
muscles in shape. I’m looking forward to it! J

Man. I can't wait to get back to the gym once my shoulder is better, or to find some workouts I can do that don't hurt my shoulder in the meantime. C25k is something I wanna get back into as well :)
@Stina R. So sorry about your shoulder! I hope you can get back to the gym soon too...it's awful not being able to move around freely. Thanks for reading girl! Love ya!
